Slappy metallic attacks

While the main focus of the upcoming updates is to get a working standalone app for Windows, I still want to share a weekly update.

The UI for the algorithm selector area was improved, especially the visibility of algorithms 4 and 5.

Algorithm 4 now shows a “loop” arrow on operator 2, meaning it modulates itself. This adds complexity to the sound we generate. Depending on the frequency it operates at, it may create metallic attacks—similar to the sound of a slappy bass. I’ve attached a preset that showcases this slappy sound.

The color now contrasts better with the background (I chose the same color as the small arrows in the buttons to keep the palette minimal).

To load the attached preset:

Download the slappy.bin file. Once TinySynth is open, go to Main Menu → File → Open Preset, and select the file. Alternate between algorithms 3 and 4. You’ll notice the fourth algorithm has a more metallic attack.
